PES Performance qualified aerospace design engineers, fully support our sister company PES Scanning, who offer a variety of 3D optical scanning services for aerospace applications.

We are able to use an extensive range of engineering techniques such as design and optimisation, reverse engineering and quality inspection.

These techniques are supported by the highly accurate systems used to provide our clients with the best possible results.

Previous Projects

Our team provide design engineering services for a variety of aerospace applications. The team have provided solutions for UAV composite propellers, the F-35 (Joint Strike Fighter) project and reverse engineering projects.

We have also provided bespoke optimisation solutions for a client carrying out equipment testing and validation on their airframes for the MOD and private customers. We are specialists in carbon composites and rapid manufacture design solutions.

One project involved designing and building a large-scale replica remote-control Convair Sea Dart. Our design engineers used original photos and drawings to ensure the airframe geometry, surface data and structural detail were correctly designed as per the original aircraft. The design drawings were then used to produce the parts of the aircraft.

Another aerospace project involved the restoration of the G-AVDF Beagle Pup. Our team used 3D scan data to reverse engineer the wing spars for the Beagle Pup. The team were able to deliver 2D manufacturing drawings for LAA approval.
